First of all: the quality of the switch grade pro, in my opinion, is nearly perfect!
Not so perfect is the price for shipping i have to pay. 35€...from canada to austria...
But it is WORTH it!
Why is it worth? I did not expect the effect of switch grade will bring to me in the uphill. Switch grade is causing a more relaxed sitting on the saddle, so i have more capacity of concentration and musclepower for steering and driving. My arms and shoulders have not to hold my body on the bike any longer in the steep uphill. The last 100m to the top of my hometrail are very steep and studded with many roots. But with switch grade it is that easy. Wonderfull!
This thing is awesome. I've already convinced two other of my riding buddies to buy one.
Great product- some slight delays but communication was great from Noel and the team. Ridden a few times.. great piece of kit.. will put a bigger review once I’ve put a few more miles on the bike
Just did my first long ride with it. I’m a big guy, 6’5” 240lbs, so I already suck at climbing…. I still suck at it, but This thing made it SO much better. Couldn’t believe it. Now I need one for all my bikes. Great product!
Im really enjoying the flexibility the switchgrade has given me for the different moments in my rides
What can I say...Switchgrade is here to stay. The only thing I would change is to reduce the tilt angles from 5 degrees to 4 degrees as I like to have the neutral position pointing down a bit.
C’est vraiment une très belle pièces bien fabriqué. Fonctionne super bien, je le recommande. Je vais en mettre un sur mon deuxième vélo sans aucun doute !
Works perfectly with a fabric scoop flat saddle and bike yoke revive post. First ride was in the Peak District in the uk with a 30 minute climb and the advantage the switchgrade offers is instant, you just feel balanced on the climbs, no pulling on the bars to stay put and you can shift weight on the saddle more easily. I’ve always run a slightly nose down saddle position (long leg short torso puts my saddle way up) but this much more aggressive nose down position is perfect for my riding. Quality is top notch. A superb idea executed really well!
One of best additions to my enduro bike.
Simple to use, easy install, excellent quality.
The only I wish it did better is go a little further on the back tilt, so my saddle would be angled the way I would set it up on my DH bikes.
Otherwise very happy with this product.
Width of the lever is slightly restrictive with the Ergon saddle rails but luckily for me I can get my saddle far enough back into my preferred position.
Great product, but i wish the connection bolts too the dropper post were gold in color like i asked for... which are m5 threaded bolts in gold color... the bolts that thread on the barrel nuts too connect the aenomaly constructs switchgrade onto the dropperpost...
One of the nicest and most practical upgrades one can make to your MTB
A high quality product like a fine Swiss Watch!!!
Great customer service..
I will always have this product..
I have several switchgrades of various generations. After installing and removing the rear facing increments there were only two forward positions that I get which is pretty much identical to the Duo version but with more complexity and cost. If you need to tilt forward and backwards this is the right option but for forward only the Duo works just fine.
Initially I had borrowed a Gen1 version of the Switchgrade from a friend, tried it for a few weeks and had to order one for myself.
I was dealing with some hip and lower back pain after rides with longer climbs and the Switchgrade made a huge difference for me.
The Evo version is a bit more refined and seems to function a little bit better than the original. I’m very happy with it and will likely buy more for other bikes in my stable.
I have recommended the Switchgrade to multiple people so far on the trail and hope to see the brand grow. The wait time was quite long, over a month. The communication was non-existent when I emailed to make some changes to my order, but even considering those 2 negatives it’s still a five star product and I would not hesitate to order again.
This is my second one
I really like it it makes my uphill easier by quite a bit.
If you really think about it you spend a lot more time sitting climbing, which the switchgrade is perfect for !!
I threw this on my gravel bike and just love the adjustability! With 5 degree granularity, it's a lot easier to find the perfect amount of tilt for any sort of riding I do on my gravel bike. From flat sections, to moderate fire roads, to "oh my goodness what in the world is that" grades, the SwitchGrade PRO has really leveled up my ability to tackle climbs! Where I'd previously lose traction, I'm now able to just power through more, and it almost feels like I have an extra gear. It also really helped prevent lower back pain while riding up steep stuff. Can't ride without it now!
This is my third Switchgrade and I love it. You don’t have to think about the settings, it either riding or climbing mode! Perfect setup for my new SW Turbo Levo 4 bike build.
Sehr gut verarbeitetes Material, super zum verstellen der Neigung. ich würde den SwitchGrade PRO sofort wieder kaufen.
I’ve been using the Switch Grade PRO for over a year now, I will have it on every bike I’ll own for the rest of my life. It really helps get the saddle out the way on steep terrain and makes climbing so much more comfortable too!
Got two, one for my 150mm trail hardtail and one for my enduro full suspension bike and I can tell that this device is one of the best additions to my rides. It gets you in a better seating position for climbing so you can climb a bit faster without being fatigued and drastically reduces seat pain if you suffer from that. And descending, it tilts up so your saddle is out of the way when it has to be. Will recommend it to anyone with a bike, because I can’t go back to not having one.
The switchgrade puts you in an optimal climbing position on long, steep climbs. You can easily point the saddle downward and grind uphill with your muscle enaged. I used to suffer from pain in my sensitive area but no longer. Climbing is enjoyable now. Thank you for creating such an awesome product.
I have yet to find a flaw with any of these. They are excellently engineered and just keep working without play. Which is super impressive. Absolute game changer when riding steep and changing terrain. As a size S frame rider, dropper post choice is limited. Max inserts in can be tricky on small frames. Being able to tilt the saddle back for DH gives you an extra inch of butt-peace or an extra inch for climbs when tilted forward. So you get a lot more range out of a shorter post. Won't ride without these anymore. They're on every bike I own now.
